What a celebration day! One has to be grateful for this wonderful country. A great example of the peaceful exchange of political power and also we now have our first African American president. Always good to have a new beginning when events seem so difficult. The instrumental piece of the Shaker Hymn 'The Simple Gifts' was beautiful and also the poem by Elizabeth Alexander delivered the feeling and hope of love for our country in President Obama's term. As Obama said we need to return to the simple lives and meet the challenges. That will be easy for some but very difficult for other. Even if we all try to solve just one small problem in our own town, it is a start.

Inauguration President Obama
