Beautiful day for plein aire, temperatures in the low 60s. Just could not let the day go without doing something outside. 'Spring Vacancy' 7"x8" just a quick 1 hour painting. This nest is just waiting for its spring occupants. Usually a robin family likes to raise their family and sometimes we get two young broods. I was actually looking for some snow drops giving to me by a dear friend. They are not coming up yet. Tomorrow temperatures in the low 4os. At least we had one day of Spring.Wednesday, February 11, 2009

A only little nest. Maybe a birdie will come visit it soon. Nice tree bark.
What a beautiful reminder in the midst of winter that spring will be here soon! And what a good reminder to take every opportunity to paint, even if it's just one warm day tucked into the midst of February!

Hurrah for you Pam! How on earth did you hold the paper during the 49 mph winds?
Nice painting and great thinking at this time of the year.
Pam, nice job to show a cold day and a welcoming home for the spring nesting at the same time.
Compliments!
