Painted from the heart, those are the paintings that I feel turn out better. When I saw these sunflowers, there was nothing else I wanted to paint. This was painted partially at the Emmanuel/Teitsworth studio and with some friends at our Tuesday night watercolor group. I actually had painted them in a vase and just didn't like it at all. Pulled out the magic eraser and put it under the faucet, washed it off and let it dry. Put in another sunflower and a few leaves. Done. Somewhat of a limited palette new gamboge, french ultramarine, aliz crimson, quin gold and burnt sienna.'Autumn's Last Sunflowers' 10" x 14"
